Privacy Policy
The short version:
- We don't collect your personal information. There are no accounts and no sign-in.
- Your progress is saved only on your phone.
- The game shows ads from Google AdMob, only when you choose to watch one for a reward. Google collects some device data to show those ads, as described below.
Who we are
Adey: Near Miss ("the game") is made by brana.dev, an independent software studio ("we", "us"). If you have any question about this policy, write to hello@adey.games.
What the game stores on your phone
To remember your progress, the game saves the following in its own storage on your device:
- your XP, best score, unlocked vehicles, upgrades and power-up levels;
- your settings (sound, music, vibration, controls, tilt sensitivity, graphics quality).
This data never leaves your phone and is never sent to us. Uninstalling the game, or clearing its data in Android's settings, deletes it.
If you turn on tilt steering, the game reads your phone's motion sensor while you play. Those readings are only used to steer and are never stored or sent anywhere.
Ads (Google AdMob)
The game shows rewarded video ads, but only when you tap a button to watch one for a reward (for example a revive, a spare tyre or garage progress). Ads are provided by Google AdMob. To deliver ads, measure them, prevent fraud and, where allowed, personalize them, Google may collect and process information from your device such as:
- your device's advertising ID;
- device and app information (model, operating system, language, app version);
- your IP address, and the approximate location that can be derived from it;
- how you interact with ads (for example, whether an ad was shown or completed).
We don't receive this information in a form that identifies you; we only see totals in AdMob reports. Google's use of this information is described in How Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services and the Google Privacy Policy.
Consent in the EEA, UK and Switzerland: if you play there, the game shows Google's consent message the first time you open it, before any ad is loaded, so you can decide whether Google may use your data for ads. You can change your choice at any time in the game under Settings › Privacy choices.
Your choices everywhere: in your phone's settings you can reset or delete your advertising ID and opt out of personalized ads (on most phones: Settings › Google › Ads, or Settings › Privacy › Ads). You can also simply never tap an ad button: the game is fully playable without ads.
Permissions the game uses
- Internet and network state: only to load ads. The game itself plays offline.
- Advertising ID and Android's ad-privacy features: used by Google's ads, as described above.
- Background work and wake lock: added by Google's ads library for its own housekeeping.
The game does not ask for your location, camera, microphone, contacts, photos or files.
Sharing and selling
We don't sell personal information, and since we don't collect any, we have none to share. The only third party involved is Google, for ads and for Google Play, which distributes the game.
Children
The game is not directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information through the game, contact us and we will help.
Security
Your progress is stored in the game's private app storage, which other apps can't read. Since we hold no personal data on our side, there is nothing of yours on our servers to protect or lose.
Changes to this policy
If the game changes in a way that affects your privacy, we will update this page and its effective date. For significant changes we will also mention it in the game's update notes.
